Hi. I recently bought a Marlin .22
I am going to be making a paracord sling for it. The rifle has 2 attachments to hook a sling onto and I'm guessing when you buy a sling it comes with the 2 metal pieces that connect to the rifle.

I need to buy those 2 metal pieces so I can attach my paracord sling to my Marlin.

What are they called?
Where can I get them?

Thanks

Thanks for the link. They have 1 and 1/4. Any idea what size I need? Quick release or non? Any preferred brand names?

The same sling will be used on a Mossberg 590A1

For an XT22 you will do fine with a set of Winchester at your local Walmart.

Seriously.

For size it's up to you how wide you want to make it.

Quick detach as well. Plan on removing it a lot? Then sure. Otherwise it's still only 5 minutes to change.

Ya I plan on using the same sling for both my 590A1 and XT-22

I've used lots of Uncle Mike's swivels without any problems. I use 1" because I like that size sling better for shooting. Wider slings seem harder to use to control the movement of the rifle IMO. But I've never gone with a paracord based sling so I can't say too much about that. But be sure to get metal swivels. The plastic ones can break and they don't always swivel without sticking.

GrovTec and Uncle Mikes make good quality sling swivels that should outlast all of us, your call on which you prefer. The sling you linked to appears to be a 1" wide model rather than 1 1/4" but you should try to verify (I'm 99% certain it's 1"). The only style swivels I've had problems with are the Quake polymer style; they are nice and quiet, no rattling or banging but managed to unscrew on one rifle which was nearly dropped. I won't risk that again for the small bit of potential noise reduction.
