Martini Henry Detachable Magazine

I'm looking for one of the historically accurate Martini-Henry rifle accessories. It is a magazine box capable of being added on to the rifle.

That may be like trying to find a working Petersen Device. That is neat looking but I doubt there are many floating around on the open market. Though if one has enough money...

If you can find the patent filing for that magazine there might be enough info, drawings, etc. to replicate it, quien sabe?

I would be hesitant on that as it looks like you stand a very good chance of cracking your head open with that from the massive recoil genereated by the martini henry

Massive recoil.....really?! Possibly a little harsh from a bench, but fired prone my .577/.450 Martini rifles are very pleasant to shoot. Yes, I use the BP service charge of 85gns of Fg with a 480gn bullet.....one of my favourite rifles to shoot.
