Folks, I was referred to McGowen Precision LLC for barrel selection and chambering. I have read some here and there that McGowen produces accurate shooting barrels.
I am going to do a wildcat that is based off the 375 RUM trimmed to 2.5" and necked up to .416 in a pre-64 standard action.
Question: Not familiar with McGowen what is the general consensus of the work? Barrels seem to be a modest 185.00 in the contour of my choice-sporter style of course. 175.00 for chambering etc. Tweaking the rails, opening bolt face and possibly the mag box as well along with an additional recoil lug as extra labor costs.
They sure have a well put together website. Any input would be helpful.
