Those are what I call comfort grips; feels better when you’re shooting magnums but the aesthetics are really missing.

I had a couple of 19-4s before this one. The most gorgeous revolver I ever had was. 19-4 in nickel with a 2 inch barrel, I traded it like a fool

Definitely. To me it is the definitive K frame although some model 10 appreciators may disagree. I am looking at holsters soon and grips will be next.

Agreed. The k frame is a dream come true, Bill Jordan knew his stuff.

I always wondered if Bill Jordan had favored the 3" or 5" Barrel length, if the Model 19 would have standardized around that

I guess we'll never know. I think the 4 inch is about ideal for uniform carry. But I have a love for 3 inch barrels for their balance and easier concealability

A lovely revolver. Looks like it will be a ton of fun to shoot. For you not the hogs. I am sure those grips are comfy. IMHO they do lack the aesthetics akin to such a fine revolver. I would think some exotic wood grips would look fantastic.
