Hi,

I am in Florida Visiting my mother who lives alone in Miami Lakes.

She is in good health with reasonable upper body strength and is interested in getting a gun for self defense.

We are looking for a local indoor range that has gun rentals and perhaps a quiet place she and I can sit down and go over the 4 rules and the manual of arms for which ever gun she wants to try, prior to going on the range.

I would be grateful for suggestions and perhaps the name of a store contact that is not a gunstore commando.

Ideas?

Jim

Head over to American Range and Gun at I-95 and Pembroke Rd. Exit at Pembroke and go west to the first light, go left again, look for sign on left and turn in. It's in a warehouse-type setting so it is a little hard to find. Great guys, plenty of space. There is even a sitting area with tables and chairs out front where the two of you can sit down and go over everything. Go during the week if you can--less people.

I would actually recommend Big AL's over American Indoor. The ventilation in American Indoor is horrible and may be rough on a 70yr old lady. Big Al's is a little closer to you than American Indoor. You take I-95 North till Hallanadale Beach Blvd and exit west on it. Just head west a few miles its right across the street from a large sherrif sub station its hard to miss.
