Gun ownership and CPL records are no longer on the market for FOIA requests. Score another win for law abiding gun owners in the mitten.

Now if we could just get rid of the pesky handgun registry and pistol free zone restrictions for CPL holders, I'd be that much more happy.

Way to go! We had a similar law pass in Maine last year after a FOIA request by an anti Newspaper. Governor LePage (awesome guy) told the newspaper 'if you want the names of people with conceal carry permits, you should know your Governor has one!'

Good news for MI residents.
I think the NY incident of media wags printing gun permit holders shook a few people up nation-wide.

My pro 2A/pro gun state changed the SOPs. Now state IDs don't have the home address & the records are not open to the general public. Even security officers(armed & unarmed) have cards without personal details. Records are still open source(but you need to dig for them). Retired LE officers & "special cases" can get their addresses blocked by state statue.
