Mini 14 Ranch Scope Question

guys,
i have a quick question for the mini 14 gurus out there.

ive got a mini 14 ranch, and just put a Weaver grand slam 1.5X5 scope on it as im going to use it for deer hunting locally a time or two this year ( in lew of my Sako Vixen). i know the factory rings for the ranch are pretty freakin stout. will they retain "zero" if the scope is lined up, then removed, then reinstalled via he rings ( I.E., take the rings and scope off in one piece, and then re-install them later)?


even if i take the package off, ill still go shoot it before season, but just dont want the damn thing to get bumped after its lined up, and have to completely re-zero it again later on.

My experience wiith my Ranch, if you take the scope off with the rings attached via the big old ring screw attachments that it will be at the same zero when re-attached - or at least dang close. Nothing is absolute.

i had a feeling, but have never done that with a mini 14. the rings,ect look fairly solid,so i didnt think there would be a roblem, but its always best to seek a second opinion!
