There should be a way for a subforum to be available only to subscriber accounts. Whose job is it to share the codes by PM?
I manage a separate forum elsewhere and there are formats that what you are talking about. There is a further issue in getting all members registered for the higher level clearance. In the case of this forum that would potentially amount to a ton of work for only a few discount codes. JMHO but that seems like quite a waste. A quicker way to get the code would be to simply contact MBC directly.
IIRC, some time back, vendor requested we share the discount code by PM among members instead of openly posting on threads. We are simply honoring that request for the vendor who graciously have continued to offer the discount for us over the years.
