Model 63

Can anyone give a rough estimate as to the value of an extremely nice example? Online I've found several ranging from $600 to $1750. That's pretty broad.

Barrel length can make a difference. A 2" will most likely fetch more than the 4". They have gone down in the past year a little. I have watched them because my shooting buddy loves the model 63 and has about 5-6 of them. A year ago a nice 4" one would usually bring in the $750-850 range but lately I've seen several go in the $600-650 range. An estate auction here last week had one but it was well carried. Mechanically perfect but had a lot of handling marks that could have been scotchbrited out with some time. It brought $475 plus tax and buyers fee which brought it up in the $550 range. Most of the 2" Barrel 63's Ive seen normally bring around $100 more. People don't get rid of the 2"

Forgive me. I needed to be more specific. A Winchester model 63.

That is ok. I figure my first run Smith 63 is about the same value. $650 or so.
