I picked up a walnut version (Field) of the SA20 over the winter. Love the gun! handles well, shoots anything I shove in it and the recoil makes me able to go through 200rds in a setting. Though the financial manager says that is to be a rare occasion. I don't have "safe queen" guns so it is already showing the marks of 3k rounds both at the range and in the field. The ability to take that is what makes a gun of mine from the occasional hunting gun to the faithful companion this gun has already become.

As you can tell from the image, it has to put up with a lot. (3" of rain this day)

However, there are things that can be improved on everything right? I am the guy who will modify everything I get so I am always looking to build a list to make a great gun even better.

First, I am thinking of trying a three gun shoot and if I like it, adding an extended magazine tube. I would want this reversible. Anything out there like that?

Next I am wondering if the TruGlo sights here http://www.truglo.com/firearms-turk...al.asp?catid=F41C40D155E44609874F4225CB2A7EC2 would work on it? I have similar on my daughter's 500 and we both love them. However the rail is different so that particular model won't work. This would be for deer hunting purposes.

I have seen a "spring install" done on the trigger to lower the weight. I personally don't think the factory one is "bad" per say, but any improvement right? Anyone used it and is it worth it?

Next, is the loading tray. This kind of ties into the 3-gun, but how does one "weld" the loading tray so it doesn't bite you when loading in a hurry? Is there one sold already completed?

I also am wondering if the forearm crosses over from the 12ga SA-8 (?) to the SA20? If so a Boyd's set in Coyote might find its way unto the gun. I love the look of laminate. But this one is very far off in the future.

I know I ask a lot in this post so thank you for your input on these items. I will post up as I complete them. I would not expect that to be right away. It is still turkey season (my first time ever trying) so it is suffering some more abuse. And I get deployed or sent to the field a good bit.

If you mean Weatherby SA-08 I kind of doubt it because it is made by a different manufacturer(ATA) than the SA-20(Armsan). Armsan makes Tristar semi’s so you’d be better off looking there.
