I'm curious to know if anyone here has ever used or had experience with Monstrum and what their opinions are ....good?....bad?..... wonderful? ..... run away quick!!!!
All opinions welcome.

Amazon.Com sells these products, so go there and enter the name in the search box if you want to know one place you can find out what I'm talking about.

I am not refering to any specific products, but any comments about specific products are certainly welcome.

Thanks!:)

I just went to their website. First up was a 1-6x24 FFP IR scope for $149.95. A decent scope cannot be built at that price with FFP and IR.

Second up was a 6-24x50 FFP IR for $249.95. I’ve never seen a scope with that zoom range at that price that wasn’t a POS in my view, much less one that is also FFP and IR.

My wife picked out their 3x30 illuminated scope for her rifle. Her biggest concern was that she wanted something compact, and, for $70 for a 50-yard rifle, I thought it would suffice. I was wrong. Third range trip, less than 100 rounds total of .223(she only shoots a couple of mags each time, she prefers pistols), the entire electronics assembly fell off the side, and the wires snapped. She is now running a Vortex StrikeFire Gen 1, which hasn't quit yet.

While you are probably right, I'd be interested to see if anyone dropped the coin to try it. I bought a Simmons 1-6x24 for $89 (normally runs $180 or so) and it's adequate for its purpose, which is on an AR used for plinking and possibly short range coyote shooting.

I use monstrum mounts and other accessories. I've never had one of their scopes tho.
With Amazon you can buy, try, and ship it back if it breaks early, or you don't like it.

I always measure the mounts I get from them and have sent back a couple because they were crooked.

I'm sure you can get crooked mounts from any retailer. Amazon does make the return process for faulty merchandise very easy though. If you have the right UPS hub, which I don't, you don't even have to box it up to return it. UPS takes care of that detail.

I run 4 of em. A couple of 3x30's and some other ones I can't remember right now. I had issues in the beginning but the guys over there took care of it quickly and it was QC on the China side (imagine that). But don't have issues anymore and the 3x30 I run on my 223 has been accurate for 3 years now. If your looking for a scope to throw on a beater or just get something on there, not a bad choice.

Just go to Walmart or Rural King or whatever box store you have nearby and pick up one of their scopes that’s hanging on the rack in a plastic clamshell pack. It can’t be any worse, and this way you get to handle the trash first.

Thanks, but I've decided not to go Monstrum. Maybe for mounts if they have the right one, but for scopes/red dots I'm going to spend the $$$ to buy one that's a good brand. Maybe not tip top, but certainly decent and rugged.

I have two of their one-piece cantilevered scope mounts on ARs and they have worked just fine so far. Have never tried any of their scopes and not too likely to try.
