Does anyone know if there is a recommended torque for the stock screws on a 91-30 nagant?I have heard that this can improve accuracy.Anybody got a handload recomendation?I have floated the barrel, pillar bedded the action, and cut a new crown on it.The trigger is the original but is fairly good.I have a scout scope configuration on it.Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I read somewhere to tighten to 50 ft/lbs of torque, but I cannot remember who said nor if it is accurate.

Once pillar bedded, there is no official Russian "spec" for the torque.

It also seems unlikely the Zar issued Ivan a torque wrench to tighten them with in the first place.
They might have been lucky to even have the combo tool screwdriver.

Just tighten them tight.
You can't crush metal pillars like you can a old wood stock by over-torquing them.
