Mossberg 500C 20 GA Pump

Can anyone tell me a little more about the Mossberg 500 punp ? I have a
500C not an uncommon gun . Except this is a Dove & Quail Unlimited 10TH
anniversary edition, 1981 to 1991. On the side of the action an is stamped 1 of 3500 , the one I have is serial # 300. The gun has really nice wood a gold trigger . However I was given it new by a friends widow as part of his collection. the gun has never been shot ,He was a member of the Dove & Quail Foundation. Trying to decide if I want to shoot it or just preserve it unshot?

The gun has really nice wood a gold trigger .

IIRC, the gold triggers were used on the Crown Grade versions. I'm not sure how much, if any, this would enhance the value of the gun. I'll let the more knowledgeable people here, comment on that. Anyway, It's a nice keep sake to remember your friend, regardless of whether its collectible or not. I know it has great value to you.
