Most "Tacticool" handgun you've ever seen

I think the FNP .45 Tactical model is quite tactical, particularly if you pay your $200 tax stamp for the suppressor that fits neatly into its case, and is very cool. So I would classify it as "tacticool". Some folks are way too eager to separate themselves from the "mall ninjas" to consider, if only for a second, that some of this stuff labeled "tactical" might actually prove useful. Or just fun at the very least, which is usually sufficient to part a man from his money. There are definitely sillier ways to spend your money.

CraigC nailed it, regarding some folks rejecting some things, which could actually prove useful.

IMHO, small optical sights on a handgun, even up to the size of an Aimpoint Micro, are an example of this.

The SW99 has always looked to me like a no-nonsense fighting pistol. No "tacticool" accessories necessary.

Well, call me a noob, but that was the first I have seen of the ninja glock, and I laughed my ass off. Especially at the nunchuck. Unless you live in Arizona.

Tacticool... I recall hearing or reading that the Israeli rifles (Galil?) used to have bottle openers built into the handguard. So the soldier could pop a cap without taking their firing hand off the grip. This has to be the first "modern" application of tacticool as we understand it.

I think the MK23 and the FNP are just tactical. I'd love to have one if I was still in the army, as it is I'll just have to live with the G21. High cap. .45 pistols are great when FMJ is all you have, they should issue one of the three instead of the M9.

And that rifle... I showed my wife and the first thing she said was "Is that a hood ornament on there?" Yes!!! It is!!! This time I noticed the compass. I saw a buttstock in a store recently that has a GPS unit built into the buttstock. A GPS unit! Now THAT is tacticool squared. I could see it having a use, albeit very, very limited. A spotter that had to ditch his gear and lost his buddy or something. Better safe than sorry, no?

If I remember, I'll try to whip something up. I have a bunch of gear still, I'll see if I can put together something really over the top. I like this thread, the comedy is great.

You guys want to see "tacticool", start attending your local IPSC shoots.

Tactical is a mindset;)

The MK23 is a gun for SOCOM yet no one really carries one in SOCOM. Despite even the experts not liking them, you have an endless amount of kids claiming that its the perfect combat pistol.
