MP9 shooting low

I recently picked up a MP9 for my wife
She likes shooting it much more than my sr40c.

We have both shot it a couple times and it seemed to shoot low.

I took it out yesterday and was shooting at about 10-12 yards and was consistently 8-10" low.

I had a friend who owns the same gun (his is dead on) and he had the same results.

Being that the sights are not adjustable for elevation how do I adjust short of just aiming higher.

First, if you bought it new, contact the manfacturer.

Other than that, the only way to raise the point of aim would be to either install a shorter front sight, or file down the existing one.

Gently used.

Sights are factory 3 dot or I would try that

I think I will try giving S&W a call
