Seeing another thread with this kind of title, I thought to ask a question of some of you folks without hijacking the other.
I'm really wanting a swivel breech ( 2 barrel ) flint gun, their was a gentlemen, Leonard Day, who produced such a rifle, I can't seem to locate he or his son, of which I believe worked together. The last thread or word I can find is circa 2010. Does anyone know if Mr Day is still producing his rifles? And if so, how can someone contact him regarding them? Thanx

I met Leonard Day's son at the NMLRA SE Rendezvous in 2013 or '14. Mr Day's rifles and rifle/shotguns started at $1,600 and delivery was about one year.
He verified the custom flintlock Hawken full-stock .54 caliber/16 gauge shotgun that I had was made about 2000.

I sold it last year for $ 1,500.00. Found it in a pawn shop for $500.00; weighed 13 pounds. Beautiful gun but too heavy to shoot offhand.

I should have sent it to Track Of The Wolf. They sold a similar one for $2,500 or $2,800.
