I mounted a Leupold scope with the LR reticle on my tack driving muzzle loader. The reticle's bullet drop marks that are intended to work at 300, 400, and 500 yards with a high powered rifle zeroed at 200 yards work well with a 250 grain sabot round with two pellets of T7 zeroed at 100 yards. At about 5.5x the LR reticule marks correspond nicely with 150, 200, and 250 yd. points of impact. Your load may differ somewhat so you would have to check your scope's subtensions to calculate the correct magnification to use. Or you could just try it out on a target. Zero your scope at 100 yards then shoot a group at 250 yards. Adjust you scope's magnification until the 250 reticule mark (tip of lower post) is over the center of the group and take note of the magnification. You'll find the other LR marks are right on at that magnification as well.
