Whittaker Guns is running a 10% off sale right now. They have their Guide Guns priced at $459. With the 10% discount it drops the price to $415. Marlin has a rebate of $100 on their 1895s. $315 for a Guide Gun ain't too shabby. I topped it with a Redfield Revolution 2-7x33 and rolled up some ammo. I was going to go do a little work at the club today then sight it in, but a cold front is rolling through and we are going to get some pretty heavy rain.

The Whittaker sale goes through Sunday and the rebate goes through the end of the month.

That's an awesome price. I wanna get one and I have absolutely zero use for it. Actually I sold mine a few years back, but a screaming deal like that is about too good to pass up

went to order one and the site certificate is outdated and I can't order from them... its not like I needed one... my GBL will work fine :)

I lusted after one in a gun shop 15 years ago and I think it was $600. I am just in total disbelief that I finally just got one for less than $400 new.

From Whittacker guns

$459.99
sale -$46
shipping $15.99
insurance $5
FFL transfer at my local dealer $25
Marlin mail in rebate -$100

total to my hands = $369.98

Love it

At that price, even if I didn't have a particular use for the gun, I would find it very hard to pass up on a great buy like that.

For those that asked, mine is a 45-70. I don't have any need for it. A 120 pound deer is a good sized one. I had total shoulder replacement surgery 7 months ago. There's some scar tissue built up in the joint that I might be able to break up!

The last entry on that page is a 336 Texan, engraved but I cannot find a single pic of the thing anywhere.
