That's an intriguing looking little thing. I'd love to see one.

Todd.

A lot of people just call them the Norton TP-70. I'm not sure if the markings changed, or if Norton is just a lot easier to spell than "Budischowsky".

They were made in 22LR as well as 25: http://averagejoeshandgunreviews.blogspot.com/2014/04/budischowsky-tp-70-22-lr.html

There is a little more history at Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TP-70

They did not get as much attention as the later Seecamp 25 did. I don't really know why. Maybe Seecamp had a better design, or better execution, or both. The Seecamp 32 was really the big winner, because it offered something new in that size bracket, IMO.

PS - This auction has good pictures and shows the factory box: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/893506678

It's like a Colt and a Smith & Wesson had a little tiny baby.

"The TP-70 still intrigues me though. Any have one?"
I bought one after reading a gun magazine in which the author said they were the best .25 ACP pistol ever made. Maybe he was talking about internal design. It's not bad, just not special.

Out of many .25's the Astra Cub is by far the best, the sights are slightly bigger (As if sights matter?) and maybe that's why they are so accurate.

As a collector of .25 ACP's the Walther TPH in .25 is the one I want, but they are rare enough in the US to be way too valuable.

A biker bar on the outskirts of town had a big brawl in the summer of 1981. Bottles being smashed, pool cues being swung, etc. Eventually some shots rang out...pop, pop. Old man Russ took a shot in the rib cage. This much was in the newspaper...except this part...

Bud grabbed him and took him in his car to drive Russ to the hospital. Russ knew his wound wasnt life threatening. It was more of graze wound, although it was bleeding pretty profusely. It hurt and looked really bad, Russ said.
Russ decided to play a joke on Bud and pretend to die.... so groaning and moaning, Russ pretended to take his last breath... Bud apparently briefly panicked, then turned off the main road into farmland. When the passenger door opened and Bud grabbed Russ's shirt collar to drag him out of the car.....Russ quickly responded....IM NOT DEAD YOU A-HOLE!

But word has it the wound came from a 25 ACP. Doctors said one more inch to the left and the shot easily could have been fatal.

I asked Russ if he was still friends with Bud, and he said that Bud was his brother.
