I'm really liking this set up and it shoots great

Just got to get a sling and maybe a flash light

I guess the main question I would have is how much better does it shoot over how it shot before you did anything?

I cant say.Never shot it the other way.but compared to my other ones I can say it shoots softer with the vltor buffer spring and tube. And the aimpoint sure does help as does the front hand grip

What's the old weight ?
What's the new weight (with that knife/bayonet thingie) ?
B

Nice rifle.
My personal tastes favor your previous incarnation but add the Aimpoint. I like simple.
But that comment is in not intended to be a slight to what you have done. Different strokes for different folks.

Did not weigh the the first one.should of
This one with the bayonet and full mag is about 9.5.I don't keep the bayonet on it.Its just a something to have thing.About 8.5 with out the bayonet

when I put it together the first time I was going for a light simple rifle build. And I liked it that way also but wanted to try something different.I have a couple Ar's that are set up all different but this is the only one with the most add ons.And they do serve a purpose and are not there to just look cool.

I will probably build another one like the first one again later on. Now that I know how it felt being so light.

Fun as hell isn't it! I have one I built from the ground up. I have way more in it than it's worth, and couldn't care less. Made it my own, just as you did. Best hobby ever! Who cares if it's more or less accurate or what the weight is, you had a picture in your head of what you wanted, and you built it. And if you're like me, you learned some new things along the way.
