Can anyone help me with the inverted images? I tried everything on my old desk top but to no avail. Thank you.

Does anyone have a favorite of these four? I realize they are dated and much more advanced equipment is now available, but the Beretta is about year 2008, the stainless Ruger MK II and S&W 63 are 1981, and the Bearcat is about 2015. I was not satisfied with the point of impact of the Bearcat so I sent it to Ruger and I don't know what they did (I really don't understand how you can adjust a fixed sight revolver) but they did and for such a small gun and short bbl, it really hits right where pointed at about 50'. They even sent me the test target. It took me weeks to hand fit the grips but there are no gaps, raised edges, sharp areas, etc. (brag, brag brag; forgive me - I'm just proud because I rarely can muster up the patience for such a task.

I actually have the same Ruger MK II.

That Bearcat looks awesome, but I gotta vote M63 for my fave.

My favorite .22 handgun, hmmmm......

Probably one of these two. Cant choose.

Are you using a handheld webcam? If so, you may be holding it upside down.

Hey, 40k, I'm getting old, you're probably correct regarding holding the camera upside down. (does that matter with weapons during self defense? I see all kinds of weird stuff on the tube) : )

Anyay, two things, is that a S&W K22 Masterpiece? I had one in my hand in the box and passed like the broke fool that I was. There's always a way! Also, When I was on the University of Scranton Pistol training team back in 1978, that other gun (also a Smith?) looks just like the ones we used. Man I put most of 'em in ONE ragged hole!

Beautiful guns; thank you so much for posting - I love these threads - it's almost like wife-swapping!

Favorite?
I carried a couple of different Berettas shrink-wrapped in a survival kit for years in the Army.

The 21A .22 was the best because you could single load the wonderful Federal crimped shot-shells.

That'd be my favorite of the bunch if only for nostalgia.

Here ya go in the upside-downs.
Copy these.

Those are a M17 (the successor to the K22), and a M41, thank you!

Welcome to THR, George!

You've got a nice collection of .22s there, but if I had to pick one (painful though it might be), I'd have to go with the Ruger Mark. I know that there are other good .22 semiautos, but I make no secret of being a fan of the Mark series. My first pistol was a "Ruger Standard."

Can't help you with that George but at least no one can say you're upside down!

Like your .22 line-up. Tough choice if I were picking a favorite from your guns but I would probably go with the Ruger Mk.II for the win!

My own favorite is a tie between my Beretta Model 70S and my Ruger Mk.II Model 512. Both guns are super reliable and accurate, especially with CCI MiniMags and Wolf Match Target ammo.

The one with the best trigger is my SIG Trailside; it's scary light but could really use an adjustable rear sight to dial it in better.

In the category of most favorite DIY .22 is my TacSol2211 conversion assembly on an Essex frame that I put together many winters ago. The 2211 is a first rate .22 slide unit and went on the frame without any additional fitting required.

Most cherished one would be this vintage Ruger Single Six which was a gift from an old friend of mine. He used it when he checked on his trap lines and when he couldn't do that anymore he gave the gun to me!

The S&W Model 34 is actually my wife's; I bought it for her when she expressed an interest in going shooting with me but never had a gun of her own. Got it LNIB from the local gun emporium and it definitely helped that an old school buddy of mine worked behind the counter at the time!

Is that Beretta 22 that is sweet

shootstraight57

I use to have a couple of the Colt New Frontier .22, the version with the color case hardened steel frame and an adjustable rear sight. Those were great little revolvers and I wish I had held on to one or two of them.

Is that Beretta 22 that is sweet

Yes it is and it's been a constant companion all these years either out on a backwoods hike or else making the usual trip to the range. It was originally blued with these horrible thumb rest grips (which along with the adjustable rear sight were needed so the gun could "earn" enough points to be imported). I replaced the grips with an older factory pair that I found in an ad in the back of a gun magazine.

A couple of years later I noticed there was something wrong with the bluing which Beretta acknowledged as a problem with some of the earlier models like mine. They reblued it under warranty but the problem came back again so I had it hard chrome plated by Ron Mahovsky of Metalife. After many miles in a holster on countless backwoods hikes, it still looks as good as the day I got it back from Metalife!

I should also add that it has been incredibly reliable with any .22 ammo I have run through it as well as possessing more than adequate accuracy for a .22 plinker. Only drawback that I can see is that factory magazines are hard to come by (and expensive too)! I found a factory magazine for another model (101, I think), that even though it is a bit longer, it still fits and works perfectly in my gun.
