My first ever AR build.

I built my first AR a few weeks ago and never posted a pic.

Here's a basic list of what I purchased:

Stag Lower $100 AIM Surplus
CMMG Mid-Length Upper
with 1/7 twist $500 AIM surplus
Stag Lower Parts Kit $68 Global Tactical
Stag Buttstock $79 Global Tactical
ARMS 40 Sight $90 New off eBay
(2) Magpul P-Mags $31 Global Tactical

Total cost of build = $868





I guess I'll need a new username since I'm selling my Saiga. It's funny before I built this I was an AK guy. I wanted an AR before President Obama took office and the Democrats took full control. I figure I should at least have one. I don't intend to start a AR vs AK post with this comment but it's VERY nice and the Saiga...it's for sale.

Warning: Beginning of political rant unrelated to rifles:

Unfortunately, McCain has walked across the isle so many times and put the Democrat jersey on that I have no trust in him.

Unless Bob Barr pulls off a miracle, we are headed for more socialism no matter who wins.

I have more feelings and thoughts on where I think our country is headed but I'll keep them to myself less I get banned from the forum or hauled off to Gitmo!!

I'll only say this, I have this firm belief that if the founding fathers were to somehow materialize in Washington DC, they would wonder why the h$ll we haven't marched on Washington and thrown all of them out and restored the Republic to the people!!

Now, you need 1. trigger time, 2. a boxcar full of magazines, 3. another AR just like that one.
