Look Mikey you're right. I'll accept and this is done and over with. I got start from scratch to do an 8mm project anyway, I will never be able to afford the machining required to stretch the magazine well, and even then it'll take until I get a stable job. I'm on unemployment and I'm on medicare. I can only take like one step at a time, and quitting smoking was for my health, not because I wanted to. And trust me, the withdrawals are still hitting me hard after two weeks of being smoke free.
When I say custom, I mean it's made by me. Maybe I should have say "my ghetto rigged crappy ass cheekpiece that suits it's purpose." It doesn't matter, I'm going to eventually be getting a new stock for it anyway, as well as for the 8mm. They both will be properly bedded, glass or pillar, I'm not sure yet. I haven't done any research on which is better yet.(See link Choate Stock)
I just hit 20, I've been on my own since the beginning of this year, and everything went to hell. I got laid off, and haven't been able to find work since.
I began thinking about doing an 8mm project a couple years ago but pushed it aside. And though I still don't have the resources, I understand better the MECHANICS, if not the cost efficiency. But I have access to a friends reloading bench, and I should be able to develop loads to serve my purpose of 6-800 meter shooting. I WILL find a way. I have a tendency to make things work in my favor.
If I can make this knife handle and sheath work, I feel that I can make a long range 8mm work.
