I just found out my neighbor, has a mint condition luger, WW2, with the SS emblem on it. I will get a look at it in the next couple of days, and he will give me the serial number to check further. He is a detailed guy, and if he says it is in perfect condition, I believe it is. What would an original Luger bring in good to excellent condition with the SS insignia on it?

Many Lugers were stamped with fake "SS" markings back in the '60's.
So many in fact, that most collectors just assume a Luger with SS markings has been faked.
