My intention with this build was to:
keep it simple
keep it light
keep it plastic

I thought about titling this "Am I turning into a Magpul fanboy?" after looking at the picture.

Specs:
BCM 14.5" carbine upper with perm FH
Denny's Super Duty M16 BCG
CMT charging handle
Troy BUIS
Magpul MOE handguard
Magpul MVG
ElZetta light mount
Surefire G2 with Malkoff M60
Stag Arms lower
RRA LPK
Magpul trigger guard
Magpul MOE grip
Magpul PMAG
Vltor receiver extension
H2 buffer
Magpul CTR stock
GG&G single point sling adaptor

I am waiting on EOTech to come out with the EXPS. Then it will be complete.

That is just a nice Ar-15!

No fancy rails hanging off the front to cut your hands on, no super optics (I would still throw a red-dot on it though.) and just a balanced looking carbine.

(Thumbs up!)

Perfect example of a combat Ar. I love it. Can't wait to see the new Eotech on it. Just needs an ambi safety.

I like the light mount. I've been considering putting the MI front sight rails on my 6920 carbine so that I can put a Surefire G2 or G2 Led out there.

Did you go with a polymer lower receiver?

You probably mentioned it in your build sheet but I cannot read AR15ese.

The lower is a Stag arms made from 7075 T6 Aluminum.

OP:

Once you get that optic put on, that will be one NICELY squared away carbine. Have you noticed much play with your MOE handguards? I'm eagerly awaiting Magpul's release of the Middy's.

That's beautiful man. I'm so glad that Magpul gave us the opportunity to build a good looking and functional AR without breaking the bank.

earlthegoat2,
The "keep it plastic" was an attempt at humor.

WarMachine,
The MOE handguards seem to fit pretty snug. When they release the mid-lengths I'll probably be ordering four sets of those.

tydephan,
I haven't weighed it yet. I can tell you it's a lot lighter than my last carbine with the quad rails though.
