Sorry, the pictures are crappy, but you get the point. :)

I finally got an underfolder and I'm one step closer to filling my (maybe-soon-to-be) endangered species list.

I was going to get the hard chromed one at Classic Arms, but my buddy called me up and asked me if I wanted his and since I have been meaning to get some EBR's "under the radar" I couldn't pass up a private transaction. I also wanted wood furniture opposed the the plastic.

It is in mint condition, it doesn't even look like it has been fired, even though I know it has. It came with 2-30rd mags and a 40 rounder, all loaded, and while I was standing there he decided to throw in an extra 120 rds of brown bear HP's(220 rds total) just because he is a nice guy. Plus, it came with a CAA ergo grip so I don't have to mess with taking the original POS grip off and buy a new one.

All of this for $400, and you can't put a price tag on the the private transaction as well...I think I made out pretty well.:)

Do you guys prefer the 30 or 40 rounders?

Well, the 30 rounders are good for 2 1/2 dozen zombies; the 40 rounders can take 3 1/3 dozen. As so often is the case in life, it all comes down to how many zombies you think you're going to have to deal with at once.

congrats on the new ak, the yugo underfolders are my favorites around.

as for mags at the the range when i am in the prone and on the bench then i go with the 20rd mags, when i am doing drills, and running the ak hard then i use 30-and 40 rd mags, and i normally wouldn't have gotten any 40rd mgs as they are so big, but i got them at a great price so i had to snatch them up!

Will the stock fold around a 40? I am ordering one from AIM monday.

Yours looks great, that was a smoking deal.

While I have an abundant supply of x39 already, I'm going to go ahead and order some more tomorrow...This is my first Yugo, there isn't anything that it doesn't like to eat is there?

Just wait until you get that funny look on your face after you shoot it.

Getting the grip and the wood you did well, since they're out of wood "at the store" and the cheapest aftermarket non-crap grip is at least $25, not to mention the ammo.

Yeah, the wood handguards were a huge plus, since they are a bit more scarce...I mainly did it because I wanted a private transaction and $400 didn't sound like a bad price. The grip, extra mag or two and the 220 rds of ammo were just all perks.

Plus, it was my buddy whom I know treats all of his guns like they aren't his and he needed the money...What is a good friend to do???:D

Just wait until you get that funny look on your face after you shoot it.

What do you mean?

LOL

I guess I misread your post, I thought you said "wait until you get funny looks when you shoot it <from other people>

But that is hilarious, it would have been better if you used a gif to describe it though!:D

i just picked up a yugo under-folder in a FTF myself... you got a great deal for 400 bones.

Nope... won't even fold on a 30.

Yeah it will, just not when the butt is perpendicular to the stock(when it is shoulder ready it won't, but when it is flat it will.)

you got a great deal for 400 bones.

Yeah, if he sold it to someone that he wasn't friends with he probably would have sold it for a little more and without the ammo...I'm quite pleased with the deal. Luckily I was just telling him I was in the market for an underfolder right before he decided to sell it so I had first dibs...And like I said before, the FTF transaction made it even that much sweeter.

I am quite pleased with the fit and finish, the Yugos have to be one of the best deals you can get on a "nice" AK.

I haven't needed any 7.62x39 in awhile...Am I going to find a better deal than 7.62X39 GOLDEN TIGER 124 GRAIN FMJ AMMO at Ammoman.com for $189.00 shipped?

I envy you. An AK and an AR are on my list for this year.

As for what your Yugo doesn't like to eat... I have no idea, since I don't own an AK. But my Yugo SKS eats whatever I put on its plate without complaining.
