I love my P-64, knowing what I know about them, if I didn't already have one, I would buy one in a hot second. I think I gave $139 or so for mine + a few dollars shipping and FFL fee.
Honestly, I really like mine, I can hit pop cans at 25 yards consistantly, which for a pocket pistol is impressive accuracy. The sights were dead on out of the box. I will agree the recoil is very uncomfortable, the 9X18 is a little intense for the size of this pistol. Slide speeds are very brisk, and the slide slaps the recoil stop hard at the end of it's travel, consequently the painful recoil. Don't get in the way of the brass coming out either, it comes out with almost as much force as the bullet. I hear a Wolff extra power recoil springs do tame this down a bit.
I reduced the power of the mainspring on mine a bit, it helps trigger pull some, and ignition is still 100%. I will admit the trigger pull on this lil gal does leave something to be desired. One thing I did with mine to improve the single action was to grind back the engagement point of trigger bar on the sear release. This lets the trigger come back considerably farther in single action before it engages the sear, consequently, much less overtravel. If you have one of these pistols, you know what I mean. This horrendous overtravel on a stock pistol in single action mode may be responsible for quite a jerk when the trigger releases.
The pistol is very well made, fit and finish are very good, with a nicely polished blue finish. The steel is very hard and durable, and the barrel is chrome lined, a feature which I wish was available on more domestic pistols, very easy to clean, and almost imprevious to corrosion.
I could only fault this pistol on two items, the trigger pull, and recoil. Everything else is AOK in my estimation. Kind of like a Walther PPK for 1/4 the price.
I'm going to stuff some ammo for mine, when I get a boolit mold for it. Probably take the velocity down to the 900 fps mark, this should mellow things out alot for general shooting, and reduce the insane slide speeds. Who knows, maybe I'll even be able to find my brass.
