My Search for a Bowie Knife

My off and on desire for a decent Bowie knife goes back for years. I wanted American made and stainless blade.
A week ago I found a Case on ebay, no bids (yet), "used" in "perfect" condition. I put it on my watch list. New Case Bowie's are running $170 everywhere, even Amazon. It went yesterday. Contemplating the maximum I was willing to pay I bid $135 in the last 15 seconds. I didn't win, out bid by $2.50.
Discouraged and not really thinking the Case on ebay was worth it I bought a Bear and Son from Amazon for $85 plus tax. I'll probably never use it for anything except to look at.....
