So, looking at things for Christmas and for some time have had the itch to get an RPK to add to the collection before they completely dry up and prices go through the roof. Stumbled across a beauty for sale but thought, there's no way she will go for ANOTHER rifle this year but showed her the link anyway. She was really impressed actually and thought it was..."hot". She said, oh go ahead, just get it. Sweet!! I'm a lucky man, she's the best.
I LOVE this thing and can't wait to get it out and warmed up. Picked up a couple Bulgarian Circle 10 drum mags to go along with the old school Romanian mag it came with. The guy I bought it from was really great and completely upfront on the deal and getting everything done.
Here she is! It's a Yugo M72 RPK, 7.62x39mm. Just completely rounds out the collection with my milled 1960 Polish AK-47 and my Waffen Werks Bulgy AK-74 (which is actually my favorite rilfe). This is a complete honey though. I'm really interested to see what it can do in the 150-200 yard range with the iron sights on the bipod.
And then here SHE is! Light blue scarf, red nail polish, shooting the 74! Can you think of a prettier picture??
Some of us just got it made I guess.

She really enjoys it though in all it's aspects. We are big black powder shooters also and it's actually her favorite. She has her very own 1851 Navy .36 that she practices with all the time. She barely lets anyone else even touch it! Seriously, she's awesome! And, honestly, to address another point, we both treat each other well!
