Video Description- "Guys, I don’t ask much but PLEASE get the word about about the Americans for America" event. On April 14th, in all 50 States, a pro-2A rally will take place at each State's Capitol building. The Georgia rally is at 2 PM EST and I will be speaking. The details of other State's rallys can be found by following the link above. https://www.facebook.com/TheNCCPA/ Please show up and show your love for all things 2A! All people welcome! At the Georgia event, open carry is welcome but long guns must not have a round in the chamber.

If this was simply a pro-2nd Amendment rally it would be fine. My problem with this is the sponsoring organization. The "National Constitutional Coalition of Patriotic Americans" has an agenda of a host of right-wing causes, of which gun rights is a small part. That means that the pro-gun message is watered down and marginalized, while at the same time gun-rights activists are being lumped together with right-wing zealots. This organization is dishonestly co-opting gun owners, and, unfortunately, gun owners are falling for it. This is a public-relations disaster for the pro-gun side.

Well:cuss: then just don't go already

When U find a firearms rally that fits all persons, all thoughts, all view points (R) or (D) taxes are too high not too high, abortion, not sponsored or sponsored by the NRA , illegals are people too or ...just illegal, POST IT UP:neener:

Rallies that show weakness, either through lack of numbers, or an unfocused message, are worse than no rallies at all.

I could see CC'ing, where legal, but (In GA, at least) allowing OC, and especially long guns, at said rally is just plain stupid. It will be counterproductive. The other side is the one who is supposed to be showing how silly they are, not us.

We need to show we are reasonable, normal folks. Sadly these days, the left will see open carry as unreasonable, and thus not normal. I can hear them now, "Look at all these gun nuts, scaring us with these automatic assault evil rifles!"

Weakness...worry what they will say...reasonable...silly...

Sounds like knee jerk reasons pre-fabricated to not attend. Rallys are large enough to whereas you can go over to whatever faction you desire, (including :eek:protestors) and participate there. Well, that is, if enough people show up who are not worried about weakness, what will they say, being reasonable (whatEvEr that iso_O), or being silly.
What I've never seen yet is duck hunters showing up in the full get-up, knee boots, face camo etc. Perhaps some could try that as the semi-auto hunting shotgun is also on the chopping block

Glad my family didn't share the same sentiments as we've been here since the 20's. That's 1720's.

Different times require different tactics. Pissing off the majority who were before seeing such things oblivious one way or the other to 2A and carry law, can only result in negative reactions. We are not Hollywood, where even negative news mention is good. The other side has agent provocatuers just waiting for such an event. The send them out to start violence, and run and wait for the inevitable LE reaction. Before you tell me to put my tinfoil hat back on, read some history of the SF community and alphabet soup direct action groups. It's right out of their playbook.

I don't attend these types of rally's for a couple of reasons. The first is that I am at work. The second is that I simply think they are doing it wrong.

At all of these events there will always be a contingent who think they are, "tacti-cool." Of course the open carry tacti-cool "operators" are the ones that will be featured in pictures of the event. What they really are is a walking billboard for the anti-gun crowd to point at. I would like to see these events have a clear dress code, and you can be sure that if I were writing it "no cammo" would be on the list.

I also agree with those who think that including neo-nazi, and other similar organization, motifs is terrible for the gun-owners rights. Frankly, we need to present ourselves as the voice of polite civilization, not a dangerous, armed, lunatic fringe.

These events are typically so counter productive that I sometimes think they have been organized by the anti Gun-owners rights organizations.

This is getting a touch too nasty. I think the info for the rally is available. Decide what you want to do.
