NBC painting Minutemen as murderers of illegals?

Law and order confuses the public by having real cases fictionalized (can't write their own material) so often that people get confused between what really happened and the show.

Now we are at the point where if law and order covers a subject it is assumed have really happened.

I even get confused at times and have to go do research to get my facts straight.

I don't know why people get upset over what they see on TV - all the TV sets I've seen come with a power on/off button. Do you get mesmerized by the photons moving around on the screen and like a bug drawn to the light find yourself unable to take action? Try this when it upsets you - shut the damn thing off.
Move somewhere were you can't get a watchable TV picture and flush your TV. I can't afford cable or a dish. The only TV I see is what the neighbors tape for me; right now that's the new Ted Nugent show. I get a new episode every week. Sometimes the fellow across the road will I'll surprise me and tape one of those muzzle loader shows with Jim Shokey, I enjoy those. The other day he gave me a tape with most of an old WWII movie on it, had Frank Sinatra in it - not sure what the title was - part of it was taped over with the Ted show.

several years ago..they did an episode dealing with a wilding that occured during a puerto rician day celebration..the puerto rician community was offended and that episode was pulled and the demand made on L&O was: they could NOT show that episode in ANY manner...not on cable..not on DVD etc...the power of the protected classes

my bitch is..it was one of the better L&O

What had me upset is the statement in the storyline something like
this. Detective" We're not interested in where you come from, just
who the murderer was". Dick Wolf has always had some snide
remark going on regarding firearms and now illegal infestation
in the story. I used to watch it once in a while, but it's just junk.

Seems like TV is being used more and more to sneak lil messages
against the freedoms we have left. Thank heaven it's just a box
that makes noise which can be turned off at any time.

3 years ago the wife and I unplugged the cable box, sat dish and antenna.

We do not watch any broadcast television at all (Except I go to my friends house to watch the new Battlestar Galactica, lol)

Aside from BSG, I watch no broadcast TV. That means no shows we hate (we do RENT shows we like, like the Sopranos and X-Files form Netflix) and NO COMMERCIALS!!!!!

It's funny how difficult for people to comprehend too.

Everyone KNOWS we don't watch TV, but they always ask us if we've seen stuff, lol.

I recommend it. Takes a while to get used to it, but mna, what a great thing. My wife and I talk, and do things. We don't just stare at a cube.

They have been sneaking in those little messages for years. Watch children programs and you will find they are very blatent with their propaganda.

The Lefties love what is being said on the Idiot Box. It just proves everything they believe.

It's very glib and clever to say loftily: "oh just turn it off".

Might as well say "oh don't listen to anything that bothers you, just ignore it and it will go away".

Newsflash: it doesn't go away. Shoulda learned that one by the end of grade school.

The truth is that docudrama agitprop full of lies and gross distortions disguised as harmless entertainment does have a destructive effect whether you choose to believe it or not.

Hollywood's job is to sing and dance and entertain, not propagandize as a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Socialists.

By all means get angry and write to the sponsors.

Sponsors

I would appreciate it if a TV viewer posted the NBC sponsors list.
I agree w Spartacus.
I have a TV, and cable, use 'em to access net and listen to the bluegrass and classic country channels.
Right now Silver Wings by Merle.

What's fortunate is that the demographic that still watches on-air TV is the same demographic that doesn't vote much.:p

In general, thank God for DVDs.
It's interesting you post about DVD's/or Games. I just saw
one of the ticker tapes on CNN stating how certain groups
are going to try and get movie makers to post messages
about smoking and it's effects on a person smoking and
others around he, her or them should the film have scenes
which depict smoking, etc, before and after the movie/game.

Wonder how long it'll be before these anti-use messages start
appearing on DVD's/PS2 video games, etc regarding firearms.

You see warnigs before the shows nowdays. I believe they even
had one for the L&O episode last night, but am not certain on that.

On top of that we have the likes of Sony etc talking about making next gen DVD players that cant play Used or Rented DVD's & games, and the various MPAA & RIAA bureaucrats trying to Sneak or Ram bills that would make so much as hearing someone else playing a CD you dont own a fellony. :barf:
