Thank you for making us aware of this pending legislation. 2011 could be a
great year for gunowners in North Carolina with the expansion of the Castle
Doctrine and now this bill. I will contact my local representatives and I would
advise my fellow gunowners to do the same.

Absolutely guys. We have just for Castle doctrine through the senate and it is off to the house, we are pushing restaurant carry, and many others.

Let's get this straight, the NRA and GRNC are working their tails off in Raleigh for us but in the end it is up to US to get off our tails and back them up. The only power NRA and GRNC has is by the people making these politicians fear for their jobs. This year for the first time in 50 years we have a republican house and senate in NC, we got them scared of the people for once.

Don't let them lose their fear of us. Call/email/mail and if they decide to ignore us (which some might), follow through at the voting booth.

Maverick, the last few months I have spent working with GRNC I have learned one immutable fact about politics in NC (probably everywhere). If we leave it to them to do their jobs, they won't. They will do what makes them money, gets them more power, and gets them re-elected.

The only time they do their jobs is when we poke and prod them and remind them repeatedly what they need to do. Sort of like getting a 6 yr old to clean their room.

Awesome guys. Don't take offense to my enthusiasm. This is such a good time for the 2A in NC right now. Do not want to lose the momentum we have been getting.

I've been pestering the Judiciary Committee over the last couple of weeks, and had a brief discourse (I posted one of his replies in the Castle Doctrine thread) with Rep. Jordan, a concealed carry permit holder, via email. Rep. Faison's reply, which was blatantly from a staff member, was quite impersonal in comparison, and merely stated that they were in receipt of my email.

Emailed, forwarded and facebooked :)

My brief experiences working with elected officials led me to believe it was more of a squeaky wheel syndrome. :banghead: A 6 year old at the very least has good intentions. ;)
