1-7-23. This was our third hunt of the season for wild pheasant & bobwhite. All 3 have seen similar success. We ended up with 12 roosters & 10 quail yesterday but we were in terrain more favorable for quail half the time and much more so than on our 1st two hunts. Pheasant total would have been higher if not several had not spooked & flushed early but that's common here this late. It was chilly at 15 degrees on the first field but little wind. We had 2 SML & 1 English Springer. All 3 dogs worked well. Another great day afield. God is very good.
