I have a group of friends that have gotten into IDPA. We want to take our practice to the next level, but need a timer to do that. I have done some research and I like the Pact Club Timer II. I would like suggestions on other brands and experiances with the Club Timer II. I am not looking for the biggest and the best here I don't have a big budget. I just want the best I can get for $150+-

I bought the Pact MkIV for the same reason. The club timer just didn't seem to have the functions that the MkIV has, and it wasn't that much cheaper. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

If I were to do it again, right now, I'd have to give very, very serious thought to that new folding timer from Competition Electronics. It looks to be far, far easier to use than the MkIV and it folds in half to protect the screen and buttons. The ability to use headphones of private dry-fire practice is also a major plus and one of my biggest gripes with the MkIV.

Definitely look at the CED timer, or drop me an email and we'll talk about selling my MkIV for a good price so I can buy the CED timer.
