I just bought a Lyman turbo 1200 case tumbler and no instructions came with it. I bought Lyman treated Tufnut with it. I don't know how much media you put to how much brass. Is there a sight to got to, I looked and couldn't find one. Could one of you help me with the problem?

Thank you all

If I remember right, mine said to use two pounds of media, and could process 350 .38 special cases or 150 .30-06 cases.

In practice, I fill it just little bit more than halfway with media, then fill it the rest of the way with brass. Works great. I use Tufnut, as well. I find it works quicker, and that's a big plus when you're trying to run thousands of pieces of brass through that bitty tumbler in a timely manner.

I fill mine halfway with pistol brass, then top it off with media. Works great! It doesn't do well with wet media though, like ceramic beads in a water/polish mix. That's too heavy.

But with dry Kaytee Walnut Bird Litter from Petsmart, it does great! I then follow up with 20/40 corncob (from Grainger's in a 40lb. bag) that has a capful of NuFinish Car Polish mixed in. The walnut scrubs the brass clean, the corncob polishes it. I've not had much luck with the "pretreated" media.

I like my Turbo 1200, it's a very aggressive little tumbler! Beats the hell out of the Frankford Arsenal one I had first.
