Hey guys, I'm not much of a blackpowder guy, just one inline in my collection and I know not everyone considers that a true bp gun. Anyway, I need some help. My buddy works at a pawn shop and picked up a nice little piece, I thought I'd describe it and see if anyone knew of an estimated value or place to sell it.
It's a side-by-side, 16 gauge, percussion, Damascus barrels, dual triggers wooden ramrod, and a fairly short fore-end stock. on the spine between the barrels it says "London Fine Damascus", don't quote me exactly on that. I know it's hard to say much not seeing the gun. I'll get some pictures soon. It has some engravings of a pheasant on each side, looks hand done. I'd say it's in very good shape, assuming it's an early 1900's gun. We haven't been able to find a manufactures name, but did find a serial number under the fore arm.
If anyone has any info, either about the gun, it's possible value, or can direct me elsewhere I'd appreciate it. Thanks...
