is there a forum dedicated to Mausers of the 1934 era? It is a 7.65 (32 ACP) pistol w/ 2 mags and holster... Also a forum for CZ 1938 pistol...Neighbor of mine has 1 of each and has no idea what the value is and thought some help could be found here. Thanks

A Google search might turn up a forum, but I don'd know of one offhand. There are reference books that cover the history of both pistols. One of the best, and most inclusive is "Handguns of the World" by Edward C. Ezell. Try WWW.Amazon.com in both current and used books.

Values depend on condition, (compleatness - pistol +accessories & holster) and markings. Watching online auctions, such as www.gunbroker.com should provice a clue.

The value on the Mauser depends on what model it is. If it is the Model 1910 or Model 1934, it will top out at around $550, with an average price of $200-250.

If it is a Mauser HSc, the value can vary depending on the markings and when the gun was made. Some rare models can run into the thousands, most in top condition run $500 or so.

The Czech Model 1938, a double action only pistol in .380 ACP, runs around $400-500 in top condition.

(Note those are retail prices, not what a dealer will give for them.)
