Had a question about a Century Arms 12 ga pump I own. Went ou and shot this weekend and each time I shot it would feed the first round but then it won't and I'd have to cycle the action to feed a new round. I just got the gun about 1 month ago and havn't been shooting it much so I'm wondering if I need to break it in more. Thanks in advance

That might be the problem but I suspect that you did not clean the weapon before you shot it and grease and grit is most likely your problem, A newly manufactured weapon will have grit left over from the manufacturing process and you gun is a import and I bet there is more. Fully clean the weapon and lightly oil the moving parts, Then go and shoot it again to see if the problem persists and let us know the out come, But also check the shell stop that holds the round in the magazine-Check for burs or a rough edge that the shell rim could hand on as you said if you pump the action twice it then feeds. Good luck

Cleaned out the shotgun today. I hope that helps, but I was wondering if the problem could be the type of ammo (Federal 8 1/2 Birdshot). I know that some shotguns are picky about what they like.
