I wish to carry my P7 M13 off duty. Our policy states that only DA (first shot) or DAO will be allowed.
Our new chief is susceptible to changing the current policy, but I need to bring forth a convincing argument.
I shoot this gun better than any other pistol I have ever fired. The manual of arms makes for an extremely safe weapon.
Those are the only two things I can come up with to propose to the chief.
I have heard about many articles where an officer has gotten his gun taken only to find that the criminal couldn't figure out how to use the P7. This could be a potentially bad argument, considering that using it would be akin to suggesting that my gun might be taken away (which is a real possibility no matter who you are). Gun retention drills with 4 attackers proved that my gun could be taken away, so the argument might be beneficial after all.
If anyone here could find some news articles about how the P7 (or the criminal's lack of knowledge) saved the officer, I would be much obliged.
I also welcome any other advice from any fellow P7-wielders or others who have suggestions.
