After playing around with my old Imperial Barlow knife last week, I decided that I needed a new Barlow as a user. So, after a bit of shopping around I ordered a Boker Barlow from Knifecenter.com.
It's one of Boker's "Grand Canyon" series, though for some reason it's not listed on Boker's website (or at least I can't find it).
This is my first Boker knife and I'm very pleased with it. The blades are carbon steel and came decently sharp. I touched them up on my Sharpmaker and now the clip blade has a very acceptable edge. The pen blade needs a bit more work. Both blades have a positive half stop.
The bolster are made of nickel silver AFAIK and the scales of jigged bone. The bone scales offer a secure grip.
Fit and finish are excellent. You can just barely feel where the backsprings, liners, and scales come together.
This is a really nice example of the type if one is looking for a Barlow.
