I just opened my first box of bullets for reloading. I have a box of Hornady FP/XTP 158 gr for loading 357 mag. Item #35780. Since this is a first for me, I weighed each bullet to see what the actual weight was. Although I know there may be some small variances between my scale and Hornady's scale, the following is what I got. Is this spread of weights typical for a box of bullets?
4 - 157.6 gr
11-157.7 gr
17-157.8 gr
29-157.9 gr
12-158 gr
2 - 158.1 gr
4 - 158.2 gr
8 - 158.3 gr
5 - 158.4 gr
3 - 158.5 gr
2 - 158.6 gr
1 - 158.7 gr
1 - 159 gr
1 - 159.2 gr
The total spread between the bullets was 1.6 grains. I would expect this to be OK but since this is my first time at reloading, thought I would ask.
Thanks
