I bought a Bushmaster Predator ar-15 yesterday and picked it up today. I went to mount my bipod, and noticed that the handguard is not 'even' (ie it looks off center, and mounting the bipod confirmed that). I am trying to loosen it up so that it will line up correctly, but cant get it to budge. Any tips or tricks for this? It is a free float barrel handguard, not the typical ar-15 handguard. My understanding is that once the gas block and tube are removed, it should just twist off...is this correct?
