picked up my new 480 ruger today... super red hawk, 7.5" barrel. looks like lots of fun. hope to have time to run a few off tomorrow... it makes my full size 1911 look - well, small.

and for the ccw... no, i'm not kidding... at least not as far as tomorrow goes. i will be ccw'ing this gun tomorrow, w/ a scope on it. hehehe... 'tis a heavy beast, but i sure am not gonna let the gun outta my sight while we are in the big city tomorrow (gotta get the scope for it). after tomorrow i seriously doubt i'll ever try to pull that off again. but, it should be fun for a day! (wife wants to go shopping  ... i'm sure it will be an all-day affair... there is hope, though... one of the gunshops has an indoor range - might be able to get out of shopping for an hour or 2 :D )

anybody have any experience w/ a 480 or 454 casull, or similiar that would like to share some tips on how to touch 20 or 30 rounds off without pain?

lol...no, no thunderware. would probably work out better if i had some, though.

i'll be ccw'ing a 7.5" super redhawk for an hour or so...after that, i'll be ccw'ing a 7.5" super redhawk w/ a scope! :what: lol - i can't wait!

actually, i'll be using winter in s.d., a heavy flannel, and a shoulder holster. should blend together nicely. and, i seriously doubt i'll print. i also have serious doubts about my comfort later in the day... :uhoh:

and some people think you need a 2" 5-shot titanium snub... pshaw. :D

Hope you have a good chiropractor! That is going to be one heavy rig. I have a Super Redhawk, 44, 7 1/2 inch barrel. No scope yet, but it eventually will have one!
