Well I was finally able to pick up my CZ-85 combat in duel tone today, been to busy at work and today is the 1st time I was able to get the the gun shop before 5pm.

After getting it home I decided to load up what I thought was 6, 10 round Mags, but I come to find out that there is only 1, 10 rounder and 5, 15 rounders :what:

Woo Wee!! :D

Also got the Kadet .22 conversion kit, with 1 mag. I haven't see any of these .22 mags for sale, Do they sell them?

And all for only $550 which included shipping and transfer to my FFL. purchased off of Gunbroker.com

I will be taking off early on Friday and heading to the range :D

Very good...the 15-rounders alone usually go for around $40 a piece, and the Kadet kit will set you back $250 alone, so you ended up paying about a c-note for the gun. Not too shabby...

You'll like the CZ. They fit the hand like nothing else, they're built like tanks, they put the bullets just where you point the gun, and they always go bang. What more does one need in a handgun?

Very Very Cool!

A hugely cool deal on a hugely cool pistol.

Get a set of BirdsEye or Cocobolo HAKANs and you have a HiPower Killer!

CZ USA has Kadet magazines.
Mine are the A number One best feeding .22 magazines I have. Pity the kit is a little weak on ejection, but there was a diagram on CZforum on how to angle the ejector to help. I will try it the next time I spend time with the gun.

I can't believe that some think the CZ is an ugly pistol

I'd like to get my hands on one of those "ugly" pistols! What a deal.

Give us a full range report. I'll be it is favorable.

Are those factory mags?

If they are you lucked out. If they aren't don't WOO HOO yet.

I see dealers at every show selling $15 dollar promags as factory mags for $40 bucks. The best way to tell immediately is that factory mags have only one slot in the front and Promags have two, one on either side.

For another check load a mag full and shake it side to side. If you hear bullets rattling around then they ain't factory. FActory are silent. Pro-mags just don't perform as well as the factories do.

Look at the top back side of the mag, if the cut at the top is deeper and narrower than your ten round then it is a promag body. Factory cut is wide and shallow. Factory floor plates are metal not plastic. Factory followers have a different contour than PMs.

I think Promags would work better with stronger springs. I took my 10 round follower and put it in a promag to improve it and it doesn't help so I'm gonna switch it back.

Excellent buy either way though.
Happy shooting!

Thanks for the info on how to tell the difference in the factory and aftermarket mags

I checked the mags when I got home 10 round one has ONE slot in the front and 4 of the 15 round mags have ONE slot and ONE 15 has TWO slots. SO I guess ONE is Aftermarket and the other 4 are Factory. Still Good :D

Tomorrow Ill be heading to the range to try it out :D :D

4 factory high caps. Man that really is a sweet deal.

Congrats! I want an 85 myself but because I have a 75 other things come first. I want a RAMI even more! I was gonna get an 83 but now I must wait patiently for the RAMI to be imported.

You are gonna have so much fun at the range. My 75 LOVES 124gr Speer gold dots.

Have Fun!

Went buy Wal-Mart on the way home tonight and picked up 3 Winchester 100 round value packs. :D My CZ-100 loves them, we will see about the 85. :D

The RAMI does looks SWEET...:D

I think my next handgun will be a .40 S&W, I ve got two 9mms now. But that will come after I get a AK-47 :D

Very very well done sir. The 85 is a very nice gun....especially if your a lefty.....full ambi design. The gun will rock your world for years to come......over and over again.
Go check out the CZ forum.....a second home for me. Well. ok...my first home.....but its close.
shoot well

I went to the range today for the first time with my CZ-85. This gun fits my hand like a glove, incredible feel, smooth trigger. I put 300 rounds of Winchester 100 round value packs (115 grain FMJ) through it today with out a hiccup, and VERY accurate right out of the box. I am very happy with it. :D

Also put 100 rounds through my CZ-100. No Problems here either. :D
