FAB Defense released a polymer mount for Glock to address this issue by providing rear anchor point to prevent scope drop/POA rising for $45 - https://www.amazon.com/GIS-Glock-Tactical-Scope-Defense/dp/B007ASIUYS/ref=sr_1_20

Fireclub version for $5 (Yes, I already ordered one and will do a review) - https://www.amazon.com/FIRECLUB-Tactical-Flashlight-Universal-Picatinny/dp/B01E732I3W/ref=sr_1_27

In the previous archived thread, I reviewed polymer IMI Defense and aluminum Fab Defense Universal Scope Mount with less than desirable results due to IMI Defense mount not working with single slot rail of Glock 22 and even modifying the mount point, weight of scope pushing the rear of mount down to deem use with lighter weight red dot only - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...endence-from-work.853305/page-4#post-11219888

The aluminum Fab Defense Universal Scope Mount was better but due to Glock 22 rail being polymer, absolute steadiness was not achieved for 25 yard group testing as polymer rail of Glock flexed and lifted up to contact slide (Aluminum Fab Defense mount worked fine with railed Sig 1911 XO due to solid rail section).

While responding to another thread, I noticed Fab Defense addressed this issue with a new mount that has rear pin that replaces Glock frame/trigger pin. When I saw a duplicate Fireclub version for $5, I immediately ordered to review - https://www.amazon.com/FIRECLUB-Tactical-Flashlight-Universal-Picatinny/dp/B01E732I3W/ref=sr_1_27

I received the Fireclub Glock mount without instructions. Label on the plastic bag stated "FIRECLUB Tactical Poly ... 21, 22, 23, 34 Gen 3 & 4" and inside the bag was a small Allen wrench to remove/install the hex head bolts.

While the mount was made of polymer, it felt rigid/solid and design of using the Glock frame/trigger pin seemed to provide very sturdy mount point as now the weight distribution was spread over wider front to back area.

Here's the mount showing push button release for single slot rail

Installation:

Installation was simply tapping out the factory trigger pin part way and pushing the replacement threaded pin in

And here's the finished product

Impression and mounting of scope:

NOTE: During installation, I noticed the push button release did not hold the rail section in place but after some pondering, this could be moot as rear of the mount was secured solid. I checked the rail mount point and there was very slight up and down movement but concluded that even if the push button release held the rail slot, it would not have affected up and down movement.

Overall, mount IS VERY SOLID even with heavier 2-7x32mm FieldSport long eye relief scope mounted. There is no side to side movement. There is no up and down movement like previous IMI Defense and Fab Defense Universal Pistol mounts due to polymer flex of mount or Glock frame rail section because weight of mount/scope is anchored to the trigger pin of the pistol.

Raised mount allowed the use of factory sights and slide/disassembly lever were not blocked.

After 2-7x32mm scope was mounted, two hand isosceles grip brought the long-eye relief scope's eye box clear and full into my vision. It's raining today but will plan a range trip once rain stops. This will not only enhance 9mm/40S&W load testing at 25 yards but also for 22LR comparison testing using Advantage Arms 22LR slide kit for upcoming 30+ brands/weights/lots testing - https://www.thehighroad.org/index.p...r-ammunition-comparison.908102/#post-12724211

Always wanted to set a Glock up like this in 10 mm or 357 sig. Maybe a long slide and a pistol scope. Just to try 100 yard steel plates rapid fire. Great write up!

The Fab Defense mount is very good by attaching to the pin slot. Sucks that there are no holsters available for it and its also not easily removable. Carver Customs has aluminum versions that sit lower than the fab, I recommend those if you can afford it, but for a scope like that they might not have a design for it. I have a UM3 mount and its great but Glocks dust covers flex and it wont be very accurate at long ranges, still good for short range setups. I think the best solution for long range is the Recover Tactical 20 series braces. You can get a solid hold with the brace for accurate shooting at long ranges. Thats what I would use with a scope like that.
I own the Fab Def, UM3, and the 20/21 and 20/20N brace. UM3 and the 20braces have OWB holsters that work great. I dont like slide mounted optics, completely unnecessary IMHO.
