ShotgunDave, that turned out REALLY nice. I've got a 1851 .36 caliber " man with no name " project that I will be starting soon. I have many of my parts including the snake grips already. And my barrel and cylinder will be here in the next week or so. That'll just leave me with my frame, arbor, loading leaver and internals to purchase. After that I'll start assembling.
I just hope mine turns out as good as yours did!!!

Thank you Sir! It was a fun little project for sure.

Your MWNN gun sounds like a great project as well. I sent you a PM regarding the brass frame.

    Hey Guys, a little update.

I decided that I needed a pistol to fire .45 Colt BP cartridges from. Since this gun is a fantasy anyway, I put the Howell conversion cylinder in it. I also decided that since this gun goes along with me on short jaunts, I wanted to de-bling it. So I swapped the brass trigger guard and backstrap off the other .44 Navy I posted on the first page. I'm really liking this thing now.

Dave, you sure know how to make me jealous! I like the blued BS and TG. And it is cut for the shoulder stock with 4 screws.

    Beautiful Pietta gun!

Thanks Jim! That means a lot coming from you. I know how you feel about these .44 Navy fantasy guns.
