I recently got a new model 442. I tried the factory grips from my M60 Pro on it, and I liked it but that left me without grips for it. I also have a model 638 and wanted wood grips for it, so off to Ebay. I have really liked some of the made in Thailand grips that I have on other revolvers and these are good to go too. Great fit with nice checkering. They were $29 and change, including the shipping.

Here is a shot of my 3 J frames. The M60 has Thai grips, the M638 has the factory grips from the model 60, and then the 442 with Thai grips

This makes the 7th set of Thai revolver grips I have purchased. All have fit great and feel good too. They are solud hardwood, not a laminate and at $30 to $45 they dont break the bank. Shipping is kind of slow at 2 or 3 weeks but I cant complain for the price

I really like the look and design of your latest grips from Thailand! The dark wood goes nice with the black finish of your Model 442. The S&W medallion is a nice touch and a great price too!

Thanks! I haven't shot with these yet but I like the way they fit in my hand. Since they cover the backstrap they're a bit more hand filling than the factory boot grips . The little extra length allows a better grip, but it doesn't interfere with drawing from my pocket

These were the first 2 sets of Thai J frame grips I have got . I also have 1 set for N frame and 4 for K/L frame. All have been nice. I will often see 3 or 4 prety much identical grips from the same seller, but one set will have nicer grain or be a different wood so check them all out

Nice looking guns and grips! I brought home a model 60 about 10 days ago, my first SW J frame. Didn't care for the factory grips. Felt as if I was holding an anemic pickle. Decided on a set of rubber Sile grips from ebay for $11.89 with free shipping. They are NOS but don't have the new car smell. The rubber compound is resilent and looks like it just came from the factory. Has a great feel in my hand. Before the Sile grips arrived I ordered a set of Uncle Mike's rubber grips from ebay as well. They should arrive in a few days.

I toyed with the idea of going with the Thai wood grips. Maybe that'll be down the road. Thanks for your info and pics!
