Hello all! From SE Michigan, and just getting back to shooting after a 20 year or so work related time compete. Started by dusting off a couple old pistols and getting my CPL. More recently its been practicing with an AR I put together in 1988, shooting guns of my grandfathers (03-A3, 1917 Winchester, Rem 521T, a few others) and an obsession to shoot well with less do-dads, particularly open sight shooting. I hope to learn from the members here, and contribute as I can.

Just started shooting after a long layoff myself. Interesting how one outgrows the need for do-dads. I'm too old to get down to iron sights, but I've gotten rid of all the other useless crap. Now I just spend my money on ammo.

Howdy,

Another new member here! Thanks for having me.

I came across the place doing research with Google and liked what I saw.

I've been out of shooting for a while, but am coming back, at least as much as the budget will allow. Seldom hunt anymore, but concealed carry, home defense, and the various issues related to them interest me.

Dunross.

Hello, I'm Mark. I enjoy shooting and reading about guns. I've been browsing forums and this looks like it's a good all around place. Thank you for having me.

Howdy y'all, college student in San Antonio here. I'm into guns (though I only own one), video games, streaming, and basketball. Hope to learn a lot here!

New member from Kansas.

I am sort of a firearm (and reloading) accumulator. I like them all, rifles, shotguns, handguns... cartridge, muzzle loaders... I don’t believe that Inhave ever handled a firearm that I didn’t like at least a little.

My favorites are 1911s, Smith & Wesson revolvers, lever action rifles, and vintage bolt action rifles.

New member, live in Albuquerque New Mexico. Have Ruger 10/22 and 9mm handgun. I've shot a variety of pistols and some rifles.

Hi all
New (old) guy here. Been shooting since I was a kid ( 8 or 9), so nearly 70 years. First gun I bought was a 303 SMLE, mail order in 1959; <$10 delivered, and another $q1.50 got me a Wilkinson Sword Bayonet for it. I spent 6 yrs as a Marine..primary mos 0311 rifleman ( M1 and BAR and M14) secondary 0331 Machine gunner (Browning 1919a4). Did nothing famous, but my uncle and cousin walked out of Chosen Resevoir in 1950. Don’t have a big collection but they are all good (SMLE, M1 Garand, 12 ga Winchester, 20 gauge pump gun, an old but still accurate Marlin 80 bolt action, an S&W .40, an m&p 9, and a couple of 22 pistols, and a pietta .44 1851 colt fantasy replica.
They are all shooters. I prefer iron sights,Even though the eyes aren’t as good as they were I still shoot without glasses but I question if I went to one of the ranges at Lejune or Quantico would I still be a Sharpshooter. I just don’t like the looks of the AR platform....it does not speak to me.
I live behind the lines in MA, but luckily our police chief is a strong 2A supporter. I’m licensed in Ma, NH, and Fl. I’m a life member of the NRA.
Always like to help newcomers get into shooting (started my grandsons last month, ages 7 & 10). Taught my wife to shoot before we got married, she has the same licenses I do. Live about a three minute drive from the local Sportsmans club so getting to the range(s) is quick and fairly regular.
Well, guess I’ve bored y’all enough, so I’ll end with glad to be here

Greetings from South Mississippi. Long time shooter, brand new member. My primary interests are trap, skeet, handguns and long guns/carbines chambered for handgun calibers. In fact, I recently acquired one of my bucket-list guns, a Thompson 1927A-1. Not too much of a long distance rifle shooter. I also enjoy black powder. I'm an active member of the MSGO (Mississippi Gun Owners) firearms forum, and also handle all the social media for Coast Rifle and Pistol Club, located on the Mississippi gulf coast. Thanks for having me. I'm looking forward to being a productive member.

New guy from Idaho. Found this site while searching for load data. Hope to learn a lot from you all and, in time, contribute back to the group.
Howdy neighbor! Welcome! What part of Idaho are you from?
I'm from Idaho too - born is Burley, grew up near Homedale in the Treasure Valley, and my wife and I have lived in SE Idaho (near McCammon now) since I got out of the Navy in 1972.
THR is the best - friendly, nice folks and great moderators/administrators. I'm sure you'll like it here.:)
