New member. Hope for a good stay here. Originally from Ridgewood, New Jersey.

Carry daily and am partial to the Glock 26, 9mm. A fine gun that I have trusted since 2003. Also have the Glock 36, .45 ACP, which I carry for lonely trailwalks.

    Quite comforting .

    Thanks for having me.

Welcome aboard! Just tread lightly on TEOTWAKI, Zombie Apocalypse, and similiar topics, the Mods frown upon it here.:(

hthc.13? am 69 worked for Mississippi State Prison for 26 years. love to shoot rifles.
Just bought a Savage 110 desert tactical 6.5 Creed-moor. Still breaking it in so far shot down range. after 10 shots stopped getting any copper on patches.
shot a three round group less than a dine size hole using Hornady 143 eld-x precision hunter. have reloaded some for ladder-work with 143 eld-x and reloaded 26. hope to find a load rifle likes around 2900 lower 3000. mainly deer hunt. really want to get into long range shooting. longest shot life time 400 yds. want maybe to shoot 600 to 800 yds. stop there because that is as long as i can get without hiring a dozer to push up trees.

Another new guy here from Comifornia, Always trying to keep up to date on all things guns and 2nd amendment. Recently started to reload again after about a 40 year hiatus and all the Ca laws on ammo registration. Most of it is coming back from my younger years but it just takes me longer now.

Hello from Sumner Washington. I am a retired teamster and part time RSO at a local range. I have some handguns and some rifles. I reload for all of them. That might be the best part but small groups aren't bad either. I look forward to the knowledge from like minded folks. Greg

Howdy y'all! My name's Richard, and I'm new here! Originally from Philadelphia, I spent the last 10 years working for the DoD in California but fled there when I retired 2 years ago. Bought a travel trailer and been on the road ever since. I currently winter in Florida and summer in Nashville. I'm an Army vet, and I worked for a contractor to the Department of Homeland Security for a brief time right after 9/11. I also spent a year working on a tiny island in the Pacific for a US Army contractor. Proud to have served my country in so many capacities! My dad was in the Guard and as a hunter, he introduced me to the sport but didn't live long enough to... Anyway, I've owned several guns during my lifetime, but the current crop consists of a S&W M&P 380 EZ, which I like but not as much as the Beretta Cheetah 84FS I let go :-( and a Savage 24V in 30-30/20 Ga which is in perfect condition and I hear is a very desirable gun. Someone gave it to me in exchange for some computer work. Read it and weep, 24V fans!

Hello all, (fairly) normal man stuck in Komiefornia. Started shooting as a kid with an old winchester bolt .22. Done lot's of outdoor sports, good amount hunting and shooting and lot's of fishing fresh, salt etc.
The last year and a half have got back into shooting. My eyes got bad about 30 and got disappointed. At 50 I no longer cared, shooting both handguns and long guns can't wait to get back on the scatterguns.
Problem is I love hot rodding anything. Got into reloading as Ca. now wants a background check to purchase ammo. As a teen I reloaded 12 gauge now I'm doing several handgun calibers and looking to start long gun ammo.
Came across THR and admired the community. Hope I can contribute as a student. Thanks to all for building and maintaining a quality site

As I said elsewhither on THR, welcome and glad you caught the bug! We all were new to this once. I'm still learning and taking it all in. I think the learning only stops when you take that long sleep.
