Learning is the best part. Luckily there's lot's to learn

FNG here...69yo 'young'...recent returnee to owning, shooting and carrying guns. Brought back by oldest son, I brought younger son into the 'fold'. Lots of great 'gun' info here, less 'politics' and heavy handedness of the forum mods I just said adios to...

Hi!
This thread is a place for new THR members to introduce themselves.

Tell us a little about who you are and what kind of gun stuff you're interested in!
Hi , I am an old gun nut . Been shooting since I was about 8 years old. Now 82 and still at it. I have a small collection of mostly older hand guns and long guns which enjoy to shoot . Thanks for allowing me to join this group

Just wanted to say hello... Been shooting and reloading about 30 years, mostly uspsa and 3gun, but am beginning to try PRS. I'm a machinist and have been living in North Georgoa all my life. Y'all are very lucky to have some knowledgeable members, I have been collecting info from this site for a while and decided to join.

Hi all! I am from Ontario Canada. I enjoy all hunting adventures. I have a few long guns, new and not so new. I have a few hand guns new and ... not so new. I enjoy reloading pistol and rifle. M/L .50 is a passion as well. My newest find is a S&W 41 pictured in my avatar I guess is an early 60s model. Smooth as it gets. :)
Wow I am so jealous. New member Surleyone a neighbour of yours. I currently live in Toronto. I had the great pleasure of firing a 41 at my gun club. Fell in love instantly. They are very difficult to find.Congrats on your wonderful toy.

Hell Group!
In the midwest but spent most of my life on the gulf coast.
Avid hunter (meat hunter, not a trophy hunter) and sportsman. I originally joined seeking advise concerning an auto shotty issue but have since put that to rest and stuck around to spend a bit of time with like minded folks. I'm a licensed concealer and I train as much as possible. From a long line of hunters and shooters and firearms and their safe use has been a cornerstone in my life from my very first Marlin model 60 to today. I currently possess 4 assorted cal. hunting rifles, 5 shotguns (Big Mossberg fan) an assortment of concealed pieces, a CMMG AR and a couple full size hand guns for the range . Currently I'm in the process of an AR pistol build (feel free to advise, having fun but have no idea what I'm doing) lol. I participate in every skeet, long range event and turkey shoot my job allows time for. I'm a married family man with 7 grown children and a herd of happy healthy grandchildren. That's about it for me. Thanks for the add!

Hello from Loveland, CO

Just wanted to say hi. I've been a ghost on the forum. A lot of the stuff I google comes to here and you guys always have great information! So thought I would join the community. Pretty new to reloading. 2 maybe 3 years now? Still single staging. Started with .223 and now a lot of 9mm. Thinking of going to .40 too. Also debating on purchasing the lee turret press. I only plan to crank out maybe 600 a month. So I don't think I can justify a progressive and have read similar stories here which make me think that is the best route. Thanks for all the help already.
I'm still pretty new at reloading but I really like the Lee Turret Press. Of course I have nothing to compare it to but it is very easy to set up and use. Loading mostly 9mm but doing some 45ACP and 38SPL also.

HELLO! Im a new member on The High Road. I'm a middle age life long lover of firearms, hunting, trapping, reloading, fishing, and most outdoor activities. Id been quick referencing load data here for the past few months and last night was drawn here due to another post on muzzle attachment project i wanted to start so i pulled the trigger on creating an acct. I used to be frequent on a few forums dealing with the outdoors/shooting before we had children (I have 4 boys now). The oldest two are getting at the age of wanting to hunt and shoot now so Ill have a good excuse to fall back into my old expensive habits. Glad to be here fellows!

HELLO. MY NAME IS BLU SQUARE AND MY USERNAME IS BASED ON A TASTE I DEVELOPED FOR GUNS MADE WITH MORE NATURAL SELECTION OF MATERIAL. I AM ON A JOURNEY TO FIND A GUN THAT WILL GIVE ME SATISFACTION IN FIT AND COMFORT TO HOLD AND DURABILITY AND RELIABILITY FOR YEARS TO COME. A GOOD GUN IS A GOOD TOOL FOR A JOB. SOME JOBS ARE NOT PROFESIONAL AS THE DEFINITION OF PROFESSIONAL MEANS TO DO IT FOR MONEY. SOMETIMES I FIND THERE IS SOMETHING I WANT TO DO AND GETTING IT DONE RIGHT IS A PART OF THE PAYMENT AND REWARD TO ME. I HOPE TO GO ON A GOOD HUNT FOR DEER MEAT AND MAYBE MAKE SOME LEATHER GARMENTS WITH THE HIDE. I WANT SOME DEER SKIN BOOTS TO TRY OUT. LEATHER IS ONE OF GOD'S FIRST GIFTS OF CLOTHING TO MANKIND AFTER BEING BANISHED FROM THE GARDEN OF EDEN CALLED PARADISE IN THE QURAN.

I'm back on the forum after about an 11 year hiatus. Can't believe it's been that long and I actually remembered my username and password. Still shooting and have the opportunity to pass the thrill of shooting unto my two daughters. They enjoy going to the range and blasting through dad's reloads. My younger daughter purchased a few long guns of her own and my older one is thinking about her own pistol once she can get her own concealed carry permit. So hello to all.

Greetings from the Granite State, new to this particular forum. My field of interest is 98% WWII and forward "modern" military, with the exception of a well known model handgun from 1911.

Hello. I am from Washington and new on this forum. I collect mostly revolvers but I love vintage Italian guns as well.

My dream revolver is an original Manurhin MR73 with a 9mm Cylinder in immaculate condition. I already have a brand new Chapuis Manurhin but I'm hoping for the original.

Hey everyone, been lurking the site for roughly 8 months now and finally decided to sign up. This is the first gun related site I have joined but not too unfamiliar with forum as I belong to several for other hobbies. Im located in S.Florida and frequent 2 different LGS in my area as I try to shoot at least 1 time a week, more if possible. My collection if you can call it that since it is still growing. Consist of a glock 19(night stand gun), smith & wesson mp2.0 (mainly used as a plinker), pt111 g2 (wifes carry gun) and a g2c my carry gun. Next venture for us would be into rifles. The wife has no experience in this area and wants to start with a 10/22 not sure which brand or style yet, I grew up hunting but haven't done so in years and am currently leaning towards either a PSA AR Pistol or S&W AR-15 as the first of many to come.

Hello, I'm a long time lurker who finally decided to join, I'm a fan of black powder firearms, old west/Victorian firearms, especially revolvers, and 19th century military arms. I'm from Texas, so I'm fortunate to have gun laws that are largely reason.

Good afternoon everyone. I am a former lurker from years back and have been out of the firearms scene for the majority of the last decade or so. At one point I was a collecter of WWI and WWII long guns but I have liquidated the majority of my collection and moved on to other interests. I look forward to making some friends and perhaps learning some new things along the way.
